“Wonderful, warm and welcoming place to Stay”
Reviewed 31 August 2014
Sue and Iain greeted us with a warm welcome, they are the main part of what makes staying at Seven Oaks so special. They are both lovely people, great to chat to and extremely friendly.I can’t thank them enough for everything.
Our room was very nice and extremely clean, couldn’t fault it. Chocolates on the pillows, and a generous assortment of coffee, tea and biscuits for snacking on in our room. I love how everyday we both had a fresh bottle of water each left for us to the right and left side of the bed. This kind of attentiveness is indeed rare these days and we were grateful for it. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed two great night’s sleep in it.
The bathroom was spotless and the shower was powerful enough to enjoy a good rinse in.Speaking of shower areas, There was no unwanted, unsightly hair lurking around the sink hole, if you know what I mean which is a refreshing change to most places.
The food was amazing, generous portion sizes and lot’s of variety. The first morning I had a smoothie, followed by toast with butter and jam and marmalade. I also had a lovely bowl of mixed fruit, which was full of blueberries, raspberries and other fruit, it was delightful, I had mince with yogurt. It doesn’t stop there, after that I had a full English with decent sized portioning, I had trouble finishing it, my wife choose pancakes with fruit on the side, they looked amazing, presentation looked great. You can tall Iain and Sue really go the extra mile effort wise.
When we visit the Lakes next, we will definitely be coming back to the Seven Oaks. Thank You.
