Just returned home from a fantastic 3 day break at Seven Oaks.
This is without doubt the nicest guest house I have ever stayed in, I am not a serial reviewer but this place deserves enormous credit.
Having easily parked the car we were greeted upon arrival by Iain and we instantly felt at home, we were in our room within a couple of minutes, no messing!
We stayed in the ‘Wainwright’ at the front of house and were stunned at the size of it, we had booked a twin room and it was huge! It housed a double bed and a single with loads of room around both. The room was immaculately clean, in fact the bathroom gleamed that much it looked as though it had never been used!
Sue’s breakfasts are something else! After taking advantage of the various cereals, dried/fresh fruit and yogurts on offer we were presented with the best full English I have ever had (believe me I have had loads!!) It was cooked to perfection using top quality food and there was plenty of it! There is a large and varied breakfast menu to suit all tastes but we took the Full English and it kept us going until our evening meal! Make sure you order the fruit smoothie too, you wont be disappointed!
If all the above wasn’t enough (and believe me I was completely sold at this point!) The little extras that Sue and Iain do are just magic, delicious home made cake in the dining room when you come back from your day which you can help yourself to, lovely sweet bites (flapjacks, cookies, chocolate marzipan…) left in the room when you get home, as well as lovely chocolate bars to go with a nice cuppa! Oh and none of that nasty UHT milk in the room, there is fridge downstairs with fresh milk that you help yourselves to.
The location is also fantastic, less than 5 minute walk from the top of of the town centre!
As the header says, look no further, book right now and you will not be disappointed, believe me you will be absolutely thrilled!
Big thanks to Sue and Iain for a fantastic stay and making us feel so welcome and at home! We will be back!
