Millside Cottage is our very own Holiday Cottage in the beautiful village of Braithwaite, Near Keswick.

Braithwaite is a small, friendly village only two miles from Keswick centre. There are three good pubs all of which offer food, at least one very good restaurant and a well stocked village shop. Only minutes away is the Whinlatter Forest Visitor Centre, with its forest walks, childrens adventure areas, tea room and shop, a great place for a family day out. Grisedale Pike and Barrow are within easy walking distance from the doorstep. Ideal for walkers and mountain bike enthusiasts.
Millside Cottage is a lovingly maintained traditional cottage situated nearby to the local village shop. There are many endearing characteristics including a beamed ceiling and an attractive fireplace with a living flame gas fire. The small sunroom, overlooking the garden is a lovely feature with comfortable wicker chairs and table ideal for afternoon tea and reading. This leads onto the well-kept enclosed south facing garden to the back of the cottage, here there are lovely views of Braithwaite’s own ‘Wainwright’ Barrow and also of Skiddaw and Blencthra. With easy access to many local fell walks and Whinlatter Forest, Millside is a favourite for many.
The spacious lounge is well equipped with comfortable leather settees, TV, DVD, CD player with a mp3 and ipod docking station. The living flame gas fire makes the lounge a cosy place to relax after a day out.
The dining kitchen is well equipped and fully fitted with integrated appliances including oven, ceramic touch control hob, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The dining area has table and chairs.
There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. The double has a bespoke kingsize bed and both bedrooms have built in wardrobes and luxury linen and towels.
The large bathroom has a bath, with a separate shower and hand basin. Enjoy views of Barrow whilst relaxing in the bath! There is a separate WC next to the bathroom.
